Alarm+ Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Alarm+ is made by Ringhound ("we," "us"). Alarm+ schedules real system alarms tied to your calendar events. This policy explains what the app accesses and, just as importantly, what it does not do with it.

1. The short version

Alarm+ has no account system, no backend server, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. Everything the app knows — your alarms, your calendar-based alarm rules, your preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). None of it is transmitted to Ringhound, to any server we operate, or to any third party. We do not know your calendar contents, your alarms, or how you use the app, because that information never reaches us.

2. Calendar access

If you grant calendar permission, Alarm+ reads event titles, times, and recurrence information via Apple's EventKit framework, solely to compute when an alarm you've set up should fire. This happens entirely on your device. Your calendar data is never uploaded, logged remotely, or shared with Ringhound or anyone else.

3. Alarms, snoozing, and Live Activities

Alarms are scheduled using Apple's AlarmKit framework, which is what actually rings your device — Alarm+ hands AlarmKit a title and a time, and the system takes it from there. When an alarm supports snoozing, AlarmKit shows its countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island using Apple's ActivityKit framework (a "Live Activity"). All of this — scheduling, snoozing, and the Live Activity display — happens entirely on-device and is not visible to us.

4. Purchases

Alarm+ Pro is a one-time in-app purchase through Apple's App Store, using StoreKit. Payment information and transaction processing are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy — Ringhound never receives or stores your payment details. We only learn whether you've purchased Pro, which the app uses to unlock Pro features.

5. What we don't collect

6. Data deletion

Since everything is stored locally, deleting the app deletes all of its data with it. There is nothing stored on our end to separately delete.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app's functionality changes. We'll post the new date at the top when we do.
